That's good to know! Thanks!

"The application has encountered a serious error. The system is now shutting down."
(paraphrasing - but it was close to that)
A genuine, old-school Windows error box popped up on-screen! With the X in the corner and everything!
Unfortunately it was only on there for about 5 seconds - I tried to snap a photo but the screen had already gone blank by the time my camera app launched.
Anyway, yeah, the supreme quality of MFT continues to impress...
Hey, TiPilot -

Has this issue occurred since? Which software level are you on?

My current problem is that it no longer reads my zunehd, but has no problem reading my slower zune 120.

I'm really sick of this garbage. It's literally shocking Ford put out a telematics product this bad, and its even more shocking it gets hardly any coverage in the press.
Have you tried soft resetting your Zune? If not, I recommend it:

Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. You will not lose any stored data.

I suggest performing a Master Reset if you haven't done so already. Here are the directions:

Let me know the latest.

Nope, just that one time. The error screen, that is. I get the usual "system maintenance" crashes every so often.

v3.2.2 - note the details in my sig.

FordIVTteam - I got the iPhone 5. it took awhile for MFT to get use to it. The system kept trying to index it then it would say "Fail" on the screen.

Today I got the Microsoft reboot and it works fine now. Is there another way to do it?

I can't read through this whole thread I'm in my late 40's and have other things I want to do before I die.

About the only error that I get maybe 10% of the time is the centre display often showing the "Rear Park Aid ON/OFF" pref if I start the car while it's in reverse gear. The only way to clear it is to turn the car off and back on again.

I can live with this and have taken to moving the gear shift out of reverse when starting the car.

I'm on v3.0.2 and terrified to upgrade ever to resolve this one little glitch. Hopefully the next major update won't any introduce any new "gee-wiz" features that I'll find difficult to ignore!

I thought 3.0.2 was the latest version for the Focus. Whenever I go to Sync My Ride there's no option to download an update. Am I wrong on this?

They briefly put version 3.2.2 up there late Sept and quickly removed it once it was discovered that it was messing up people's climate controls on the touch screen after installing. Hasn't been put back up since. That is why you don't see it.

I didn't even know the car would start in any gear but P. Go figure.
