Bluetooth MAP Support added to iOS 6

The LG Octane has always supported this. So does that mean they(S3 and iPhone) were both late?

You are right. I think it's funny how hardcore iPhone freaks talk about the latest "upgrades" they get from their new version, only to have those features exist on other platforms much earlier.

It wouldn't be a big deal if they would word their happiness differently. Instead of saying....

"Our iPhone will do X, Y, Z. It's the best phone ever."

They should say.....

"Our iPhone was finally upgrades to do X, Y, Z like the other phones already released."

Gave this a try on a 2012 Titanium w/MFT. Removed device from both MFT & iP4 w/iOS6, then re-paired.
My iP Bluetooth settings screen for SYNC does not have "Notification On/Off" bar like yours does in video; MFT says messaging is supported by stating my test "message sent successfully"; however, no message sent and no message shown on MFT screen when test message was received. Another wait-and-see-what-happens scenario.

Hey all, I have just bought a 2012 Focus and I cant seem to get my iPhone 4s working with MAP either on myFord Touch w/Sync. It says it will send a message but it doesn't really! When I called Ford, they said myFord Touch by default has MAP always on. They also said that iOS 6 is the problem and they say they are "working" with Apple on the problem. " I hold my breath." I dont understand why I have seen some YouTube videos that users of iOS 6 and sync by itself is working on older vehicles, but not newer ons with myFord Touch. Im bummed, and I have exhausted google to death over it. lol!

Welcome to the frustrating world of My Ford Touch! You'll learn not to hold your breath, as any update just resolves a few issues but also creates a multitude of new problems. Let's hope Ford can get it right sooner rathern than later, if at all.

Yeah... you haven't had MFT long enough to realize it was a big mistake. It will function worse than a stereo with an one inch LCD. Button presses rarely work, patches break more than they fix, and Ford will ignore your complaints. Don't take it in for service, it will just waste your time.
The best you can do it record videos of any bugs and throw them up on youtube to embarrass ford into acting.
