Headlights Slightly Dim When Car Runs
When I'm sitting idle with my headlight pointing a foot from a wall (for example), I notice my headlights will dim and flicker slightly. Why is this? I've just had my battery and alternator replaced a few months ago.
Thank you. |

Do they brighten back up if you raise the idle a bit?

When I watch the headlights shining off of the wall, it seems to flicker very faintly as the engine runs and I'm parked. Actually, it doesn't matter if it's while I'm idle in traffic at a stop light at night or in a parking lot sitting there with the car in park while the engine is running. It still will see my lights dim/flicker. They will dim (not by much, just barely apparent if you look at it) and brighten back up, usually within three seconds. But it will continue to do this while I'm in an idle state of some sort.

No, i notice this even when the windows are open. Example would be a nice summer or spring evening.
