Fuel spill when pumping gas

That's the best news of all - 'you aren't texting with the roof to the ground' ! That valves also serves as a anti-siphon devices too. Hopefully it isn't damaged from someones hostility toward the high price of fuel.

if you ever used a gas Can to there is a wire mesh filter on the tip of some, and sometimes they fall off and get stuck, its happened to me...

I hope it isn't damaged like you mentioned. With this ridiculous fuel prices. Fortunetly, I live near the Illinois/Indiana state line. Therefore I cross into Indiana, because I think they have the cheapest fuel prices in the nation?!?

Hmm... I'm pretty sure I haven't used a Gas Can, since I purchased the car in 2008.

I am having a similar issue with a 2004 focus, where can I find the vent tube? Does it terminate in the engine compartment?
