you wouldnt have to take em out , but it only takes about ten minutes to remove both . i personally am cheap so i went the nightshade route , but before i sprayed i sanded , then sprayed the shade , then i clearcoated them and buffed em out for a nice gloss

Hm. I see, seems
I might go with the adhesive films that way I won't have to ...well, do that much work. Anyone go with a certain brand or just whatever you find off eBay? |

http://fswerks.com/laminx.htm
FSWERKS is a retailer for Laminix and they have precut sheets for 08-11 taillights. Best to use adhesives, regardless of the price difference. Our taillights are not cheap to replace. If you screw them up with paint its twice as expensive as the adhesives to replace them.

Nite shade tends to look purple when the lights are on at night and you need to lay it down even so it doesn't look blotchy.
Get some LaminX for the tails, it'll look WAY better.

The fswerks pre cut ones look pretty expensive. I mean quality is probably what I'm going to hear, but for 20 bucks on eBay can't I get the same look with a roll of smoked tint and just cut it myself?

Nonetheless, if you should go with eBay tints, just to be on the safe side, make sure you search for "eBay Top-Rated Sellers". ![]() Posted via iPhone using FF Mobile |

if you do decide to still go the spray tint route, be sure to do multiple light even coats. that way you can test them out and if they are too light for your liking you can make them darker (as long as your brake lights can still be seen). I did a bunch of sanding and used clear coat at the end on my last car. turned out nice
