iphone 5/iOS 6 messaging via MFT

can someone advise or point me in the direction of where to find whether or not this actually works or the steps needed to get it to work?

i have the iphone 5 but i cant seem to get the messaging to work.. also... does bluetooth audio and voice commands work? [ie: play artist< artist name>] just like if its connected via usb?

i see there is a setting to index bluetooth but i cant get it to work,,

Sorry but no to both.

The protocol for Bluetooth messaging was announced as a new feature of iOS 6, but it never made it to the final version. Some part of it made it though because MFT thinks it can send messages but it cant.

Hopefully in a future update they will fully implement it.

I'd suggest using USB for everything. Ford's terrible system doesn't work with iphones very well at all. I've had nothing but frustrations.

You figure its Microsoft, it doesn't work with apple, but it does work with Microsoft's phones

It isn't a Microsoft/Apple thing. It's a Ford thing. You don't see these issues in Elantras or Jettas.
