Projector retrofit, finally!
Hey guys, finally got around to doing my retrofit..
Only problem is I broke one of the headlight adjusters Shown here. ![]() I could really use your help if anyone has a spare assembly laying around or has focuses available at their junk yard. 90% of my driving is night time and right now my beams are too low to drive at night. Anyways here are some pics, I didn't take pics of the whole install because Slammed already has one. Test fitting and aiming before final tightening ![]() ![]() ![]() The light output is great! Need to fix the high beam which mysteriously stopped working, even though it was working all day.I am thinking it is a ground issue, it's always a ground issue. And I need that headlight adjuster assembly, if anyone can get their hands on one I will pay for it! Yes that includes ripping it out of any focus you see! lol You twist it clockwise and pull it out, inside there is a plastic threaded rod with a ball socket on the end. |

Yes mine broke off clean because its plastic. I have gone to many parts stores, body shops and searched online. Looks like its a focus only thing and I need one.
Foud a headlight assembly on eBay for like $50. Might have to buy it just for the adjuster |

I was going to paint shrouds and reflectors black but decided not to because that just adds more things that can go wrong. Here is the broken adjuster, a member on here was kind enough that he ripped one out of an old assembly he has and he's sending it to me! The rod broke in 2, I assembled it back together by drilling down it, and pounding in a ribbed nail and plastic weld but it still won't adjust correctly with messed up threads. ![]() Plug and play hid kit ![]() ![]() Retrofit ![]() Hids on ![]() ![]() Pics of output coming once I get the new adjuster in a few days! |
