Those With the Metra faceplate, how did you do it.

So my Metra faceplate was ordered last week and should be in later today or tomorrow, and i ordered my big fancy touchscreen double din as well which came in earlier today, but im having trouble finding a harness for my deck (JVC-AV60BT), so those of you who put a double din in, how did you do it?!

Doesn't the head unit come with a harness on its end?
I thought you would just connect the open ends of the harness to the factory wiring.
I also think Metra sells some harness that lets you retain some of the Sync functions along with steering wheel volume control.

So has anybody got theirs installed yet? My Metra bezel and Sync interface are on the way. I should have them by the middle of next week. The Sirius antenna cable so I can use the factory sat radio antenna is on the slow boat from China, so there's no telling when I'll get that. I'll probably go ahead and mount the nav and then hook my Pioneer XM tuner to the factory Sirius antenna later when the cable comes in.

I plan on installing my Pioneer Avic-Z2 that I salvaged out of my totaled Civic with the Sync audio output from the Axxess FRST-2 hooked to the aux input on the Avic-Z2. That way I can use the Sync for USB audio and phone integration and the hard drive music library built into the nav for my CD collection. Later I'll probably install my Alpine PDX-5 left over from the Civic and get some new speakers and subs. I'm really hoping they'll come out with a Stealthbox for the 12 and up hatches.

I have the same setup as you :P do you have sync? I do and it was a pain in da buttttttt..

Finally got it installed, ended up hardwiring it and it wasnt as difficult as i thought, nothing a day off and a 6 pack couldnt solve, lie post pics soon it looks great, and its amazing what a nice double din can do to bad stock speakers. So much better, next step is the rockford t152s going in and then the JL w7 13.5 and im done with the audio! :D

I posted this in the other car audio thread too, but I also just finished my install of the dash kit. I can try to answer questions for anyone who needs help.
