40 + mpg 00 se!!!

I got this car a while back with a heap of issues. Well after fixing most of them,thanks to the help of the good people of this site! My car is an 00 se z-tec auto with 109,xxx on body and 3x,xxx on motor. I have installed new maf,tps,msd coil,ford racing wires,K&N air filte. This weekend we went to see some family who live just shy of 100 miles from us. stopped to fill the car completely before heading out, took two gallons to top off tank. Hit the trip button before we left gas station and when we reached our destination we had traveled 98.6 miles only using two gallons of fule! My daily driver is a far from stock 91 bronco, I was happy with it getting 10-13 mpg till now. Sorry about the rant, just impressed with this little car! More upgrades are on the way for this car in my quest for mpg. Will post results if I hit 50mpg.

I have driven my 2012 ford focus from Las Vegas to Arizona. Total mileage was 475.3 miles. Fuel consumption was 10.3007 gallons. That is close to 47.5 mpg. Average speed was 57 mph.

But thats in a Mk 3 rated at 40mpg. Mk 1 ZETEC was rated at 30 mpg so he has seen a higher gain than you and its a 13 year old car.

I was wondering if there are mods for 2012 that will help with fuel consumption. Do the CAI and exhausts really help?

i get 28 mpg with my 01 focus zx3. it does have a jrsc on it not sure how much that effects the mpg but i thought it should be doing better. whats the sticker say they should get when new?

I have a 07, I only get about 17.5mpg.. :(
I drive 80 miles everyday! Highway.
Cannot figure out the problem for the life of me.

Are you redlining every gear and cruising at 90+? something really has to be wrong to do that poor. I think the worst ive seen in my 07 is 24mpg, that was in super crappy/cold snow and getting stuck in hours of traffic due to the snow.
