who here is running a capacitor?

sometimes peoples opinions are nice to read, but ill stick with my simple knowledge, and stick with what i believe and use them cause they have always worked for me, i dont get technical ohms watts blah blah blah...i make sure that the cap gets power then the amp gets power and the cap and amp are well grounded and the amp turns on from the head unit thats it blam done im sure some one could come along and spot things and say their wrong, but everyone will have their own opinions. i feel like i should take pics so people can say im doing it wrong, just to have mine sound just as good if not better IMHO then some others

i have installed several workin at best buy and they did seem to make a difference. that said I would still go a differnent and more productive route by upgrading or adding a second battery, and upgrading wiring. may cost a little bit more than a cap, but the result will be better in the end.

If I may ask, why did you make a thread asking who runs them , it seems as if you are ignoring the people that dont run them and reading what you want . Maybe thats why you considered the Cap Thread I posted to be "bashing" because I provided facts about why they are useless in a daily situation . BUT carry on in your misinformed life good sir

I'm running a 2 farad Boss Audio, I'm thinking about running with out it for a couple weeks to see if there's a difference. I know when I had my 2 JL 12s powered by a JL amp in my old Hyundai it bog the whole car down. Seems like the cap is always charging even with nothing playing.

My question is to the people who do run them . How do you know that it is indeed helping your system? are you basing your opinion on? Visual cues? Have you clamped your wiring using a DVOM and amp clamp to monitor voltage drop and amperage draw before and after the capacitor ?

ok then how is that when i didnt run a cap (i since dont have one anymore i was mad and it looked like a good thing at the time, to smash the shit out of it) anyways how is it that it completely sucked the life out of my car and when i ran one it barely if at all dimmed my lights at the least

also i am not ignoring the people that are not running them. im just just more on the side of people who use them as opposed to the people that dont. imho i have yet to see someones entire system run efficiently as one who does run a cap as to someone who doesnt. and i did watch a video on youtube about how the guy tries to de-bunk the use of a cap and i wasnt convinced. has anyone done any tests with the same items like an alt, batt, wiring and system with and with out a cap for an extended amount of time not 2 minutes or less with meters and what not. im just not convinced enough i guess to believe that they are useless. can you back up your reasoning with actual proof as to where i can better understand?

Lets see its apples to oranges

Alternators create current and voltage
Battery is a high capacity storage device that has a slower discharge rate
Wire... Serves no other purpose but to "transport " both amperage and voltage ..

A cap is a Low capacity fast discharge device .

I fail to see the connection your trying to make

You claim your not "convinced" , there is a lot of hard mathematical information proving why they are useless . What hard proof do you have they are as u stated "efficient "

ok i think were just going to keep hitting heads here on this topic. i have no hard proof that they work over not having one, other then the when sitting in the car with the system blasted and my car not being depleted of its life.
