Fog Lights

Just curious, do you guys think fog lights are a good idea to have on a vehicle? I've been seriously looking at getting some for my first gen, and would like to hear some input from you guys. And more than just safety too, like personal preference is what i'm curious about

I drove vehicles for my first 5 years of driving without fog lights. Then I bought a shitty Sunfire with stock fog lights and I kind of wondered how I went without them. I found them great in the rain or snow. As well as fog. Also if I was on a highway with traffic I found turning them on was a good medium between regular lights and high beams.

I think they're great - not only do they (usually) look good, but they noticeably increase visibility. Go for it!

alright, thanks guys! I found this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=271074906836, and I think it's everything I want at what I think is a good price. ill probably run it to a rocker switch and then just sell the factory fog light switch as they seem to be at decent demand around this place. what do you guys think of it?

Looks good to me. Nothing to crazy. I'd probably just wire it to the stock switch. But hey, if you can make a few dollars and you don't mind using a rocker switch why not?

well grille, housings, bulbs, and harness alone would cost the 105, so the switch is basically icing on the cake. i just want to run it to a rocker so I can run literally only fog lights without the park lamps or anything. Just another question, what bulbs would you recommend? stick to stock or put a little $ in for better light?

I always used stock. I never really had any issues with them. I say just try the stock and if you think you want a little brighter than go buy some pretty ones.

That looks like a great kit. I'd wait and see how the included bulbs do before deciding, but if they weren't up to snuff I'd replace them. Of the 3 cars I've had with fogs, the one that I put better bulbs in had by far the best effect.

Bought the same kit from same seller about a year ago. Use the switch included and wire it up right.. its worth it!
