Tensioner question

So I have recently timed my svt and have a question, the tensioner pointer is over the index line like the ws manual states. I can rotate engine by hand and all is good its when I start the car the pointer remains in the correct spot but heres the problem when I shut down the car not the pointer will move a bit to the right completely out of the window. Now it dont do this every time and also if it moves out of the window as soon as I re start the car the pointer will correct it self and move back to the correct postion. Is this normal ?
