Got myn just before christmas last yr with 47,000 on it. Now its got 65,000 on it with trans rebuild 5 miles after purchase. Im 22 and paid 9,000 for it.

My father picked up my 2001 Ford Focus SE for $750 last November. It had 140,000 miles on the dot, and wasn't running. I was home from college (I'm 19, i was 18 at the time) for Thanksgiving, so that weekend He, myself, and one of our neighbors tore it apart and replaced the fuel pump and the fuel line running to the front of the car. After about 5-6 hours of fiddling round with everything, the car was finally up and running.

Almost a year and 5k miles later, and it still runs beautiful. It is now my college car. :P

I got it when I was 16, i'm 18 now. I work a full time job at Publix (grocery store).

It's good to see someone as young as you that understands the need to pay things off as quickly as you can. Paying $5K down is a great start.

Now you just need to hook up a better job -- tough I know...

yeah i know and i mean i pay my minimum of $228 a month but whenever i have left over cash or just spares i send in lumps to help out my cash sometimes i be sending $500-$600 to help out get my car paid quickly.
