All I did was remove the ring gear from the old diff & attached it to the torsen & then clean the bolts a little & add a little loc tite to each bolt & tighten them & checked again. Put your new trigger wheel on the diff & then press the carrier bearings on the diff. What could be easier? Oh torque the ring gear bolts to 65lbs & criss cross when you tighten them. Clean both sides of the case & use a plastic razor blade= you don't want to nick either side of the case. Grab some rtv & spread it around w/ your finger, bolt it up & then zip it down. Since you have the cradle out great time to upgrade your front sway bar too. I just cleaned & regreased my eibach bar & bushings.

Sure. Auto mechanics is one of my hobbies. I'm a general jack of all trades, do everything myself type of person. My actual career is in software development.

You just saved me some grief - I have a PG sitting in box next to new Exedy stage 2 / flywheel ready to go in. I searched the PG and heard all this bad news.
I guess I'll have to send it back and wait another month till I can buy a Quaife

I can't find any other diff to fit a 2005 Focus SES 5 speed. Anyone ? Example Torsen says SVT 6 speed, Kaaz - nothing

Glad I could help. There is a Torsen, Kaaz, Quaife, and MFactory for the MTX-75.
Torsen (if available)
MFactory
Kaaz
Quaife

Good luck with the build!
