Traction Control / Launch Control

As some know I've been playing with tuning this stuff on my car so I can get a decent/consistent 60'.
With my car/tires/setup I either spin or spin a lot. It's very hard for me to get traction out of the hole. If I launch @ 3,000rpm it's all spin. So I generally launch just off idle, ~ 1,200rpm. All I have are street tires and honestly that's all I plan on ever using at the track; I don't see that I'd get my moneys worth out of DR's or slicks. I do this for fun only.

That is what's working for me currently.

The blue cells are with that setup.

So my feeling is that this is a very good option for those who don't have traction control and have a manual transmission Focus.

Your limiting numbers will differ from mine. There's a few variables that will go into what will work for you,
- What kind of TQ you make, dyno the car to find out
- How much grip your tires have
- How much grip the track has

It's all trial/error to get the numbers to work and there's no other way to figure them out.
