I have seen people here (FF) try to sell armrests for $45, like they are rare or something. I have yet to see a Focus in the junkyard with an armrest. If one of the junkyards that I frequent gets an armrest, they said they would sell it for $10, so I only assume that most Foci came without. Maybe I should go back and scoop up all those consoles without armrests

Yeah, I am offically addicted to autocross. I was thinking about getting rid of my armrest if I get a short shifter, I figured it would be awkward. It is good to hear that stealth doesn't have much of an issue with it. I can always get a short shifter first and then if I find it awkward with the armrest switch out my console.

so you're saying i can get $45 for each armrest assembly?

like i said, you get used to shifting with an armrest. i was thinking you had an SVT lol. first time i drove the car, i was like wtf, i can barely shift this thing! but obviously when you daily it, you find the right feel.
i find the armrest to have all positive outcomes, imho. comfy to rest your arm when driving, houlds you up when hauling around corners.
without, where do you rest your arm? i imagine it might be slightly easier to shift, but not by much. i like mine for comfort.

So I took 5th place overall today at Negaunee autocross #7 today. It looks like I am finally getting the hang of it. I will have pictures and maybe a video up later today. My next decision now though is whether to buy a steeda short shifter or a lower engine torque mount? Opinions?

Lol, I found this on my windshield this morning thanks to some friends. Apparently the car club meeting I missed was spent going through the dorm parking lots writing tickets for rice. The scribbles on the bottom indicate that I still haven't taken my numbers off from the last autocross, I painted my calipers, and that I have chrome valve stem tips.
