The RevoKnuckle system is a specific type of MacPherson strut suspension design. Whether the mythical new Focus RS gets a mechanical limited slip differential is a separate issue. The 2013 Focus ST doesn't have either system.

Following the merger of Ford's North American Special Vehicle Team (SVT), the European TeamRS and the Australian FPV divisions[37] to the development of Ford's global performance vehicles, Ford's Advanced Product Creation and Performance Vehicles director Hermann Salenbauch announced that the decision to sell Ford Focus RS/SVT to North America depends on feedback from the media and customers.[38] However, the product would only appear 2 years after the release of the third generation Focus models.[39] On August 4, 2011 Ford's global boss for small cars, Gunnar Herrmann, revealed to magazine Drive that the third iteration of the hot-hatch was in the works. New RS will be FWD with more than 305 hp (227 KW) which will be transferred to the road with so-called ‘Revoknuckle’ suspension. The new RS is expected in late 2013 or 2014 both in Europe, North America and the rest of the world.

it says right in the wiki ad that it depends ENTIRELY on our feedback as a market.....meaning if the ST sells like hotcakes and people voice a desire for the RS the chances of us getting one GREATLY increase...

What would ST versus RS sales be if it's not AWD?

also, as a VW fan, I'm used to having my bubble burst on models we can't have in the good old USA.

There was another post on the site where somebody said they knew a ford engineer that said a AWD ST was also being developed.

The Focus will never be AWD. Even top-of-the-line RS500's were still only FWD. As for pricing, I would have to imagine that in order for it to be marketable that it can't top $36k.

I think that Ford would do good to make an attempt to gauge marketability in the states, even if it was a one-year run and possibly took a loss. Maybe a limited run of 500? Idk. But they aren't going to have an idea of what us Mericans will open our wallets for if they don't at least give it a shot.

Never know, we might surprise them

Edit: In all honesty, even though I am die-hard Focus loverboy, I see the future RS being a Fiesta. I think that they would probably due better thanks to the Ken Block fanboys...
