Will do. Gonna wake up early and do a log for the new tune Tom sent me. I'm thinking about getting a cheap netbook just for tuning. My laptop is massive. Later this month I'll take it to the dyno and the track.

So I loaded the new tune that Tom sent me this morning and as its loading I looked at my car and it was sitting funny. Sure enough, I had a flat tire. Found this tiny piece of metal barely sticking out grabbed the pliers to get it out and it was this 2" metal shard. Had to take the tire of and go plug it fill it back up. Holding good. Sent off the datalog to Tom just waiting to hear back from him. The car is running better and better each tune. No cel's and real smooth. Hopefully start getting into the fun stuff today. When I was doing the log this mustang was next to me pulling into a turning lane about to turn and when I shifted he heard the bov and did a double take. It was funny he almost hit the curb had to slam on his brakes. Think I'm going to be getting a lot more of those double takes soon.

That's all for now. Still tuning with Tom getting everything perfect. But the cars doing great so far. Ready to get where I can up the boost. Like sporadic said, "nothing exciting about 7psi." I'll let you know how 10-11 psi feels with this turbo. I'll start a review thread on it soon. Spools up real good.

Thanks man! It definitely took longer to put together than I thought but this was a kit that I made and not premade to fit. It works great though. Just need to see what boost I'm hitting at what rpm. When I do the wot in 3rd it spools quick and holds all the way through so that's a good sign. Got to suck up to wifey before I do the engine build though.lol She's done with the car modding. Either that or find someone local to store an engine for me.lol

Looks good. Where did Ford move the fuel rail pressure sensor in your car??

Good question sir. I keep trying to look it up with no luck. If anyone has any insight on this it would be appreciated.

From what I understand the 08+ ECU calculates what fuel psi the engine needs based on certain parameters, not taking an input of fuel psi from a sensor. If you look at the PID list in Livelink for the 08+ you won't see a fuel pressure PID. I think this has to do with the DBW system as compared to the cable throttle body on the earlier Foci.

Definitely makes sense. Well the car is being a pain. Have to do another log for the tune I have. I load the tune I'm sent and do the log, 3 min idle, 3 min cruise, 3rd wot. Able to do the log fine but about 10 min down the road it will max out lean and start shaking while cruising under 3k at partial throttle. So I talked to Tom about it and gonna get a longer datalog to see what's going on. We are going to pick back up on Friday and tune all day as well as Saturday if needed. I've looked over everything and double checked all the lines and hoses. Switched out the injector connectors for the ones sporadic sent with the injectors I bought from him. Just in case the ones I had on there where coming loose or arcing while I was driving. Not sure what's going on but we will get it figured out.

I would double check your hose clamps and make sure you don't have a leak somewhere. What's you vacuum @ idle??
