Little crash, but back on her feet

Ya it was my fault i guess, on a major highway changing lanes to get on another major highway during moring traffic and suddenly everyone hit the brakes. Roads were wet so didnt even have a chance to stop. Everyone was ok, first thing i did when i got on the sholder was get out and see if lady was ok that i hit. Then i turned to see this....





This was my first claim ever, had the same insurence for 13 years. They ended up totaling it out. Gave me a check for $3220 and keep the car. Got on craigs same day and found a salvage yard near by with a complete focus. Called them up, i need hood, bumper, grill, head lights and middle core support. That will be $227.....i said i would be there tonight to pick em up. And the best part..................they were already the color i needed. Wo hoo bolted it all on in two and half hours and she was ready to go......got really lucky

So basically you got $3,000 to just swap in a new bumper and hood? Oh insurance these days lol , but nice to see her back on the road. I don't see what defined it as it being totaled? Same thing happened to my brother, but they didn't total it out lol (had to have a new bumper, hood, headlight, radiator...but no sructural damage to jeopardize the integrity of the vehicle!!)

p.s. who is your insurance company? I'm switching lol

Kinda digging the new look, cleaner. Need to get the black on top of my fenders to look right know. I have american family insurence. Lady got out of the car said ya were probably going to total it, dont bother taking to the shop. she bairly looked at it. She saw that its ten years old and a little hatch economy car and didnt think it was worth fixing. She was real cool tho, said it was a clean straight car and she would hook me up with a good deal and keep it.

What about the person you rear ended? How convenient was it for that person to put their vehicle back together. I know this thread is all about you. isnt there a turbo setup for a zetec for 2500 in the forsale section?? then a tune from tom and bam done. lmao... well depending on the other little things you could have this turbo'd in no time.
