You could be right; I read the 180 on the forums here. But why would they put a tranny rated so high in a car like ours? Seems to me it would be a waste of money.

250 N-m of torque or about 180 lb-ft of torque is the limit for what the DCT is rated for, the MTX-75 might handle a little bit more, but not v8 levels of torque.

Nope, only the wet clutch versions go above 200 lb-ft of torque, the dry clutch version is rated for somewhere in the neighborhood of 250-280 N-m or 180-183 lb-ft of torque. The 250 in the DCT250 on the spec page from Getrag indicates its torque capacity at 250 N-m (newton-meters)
