Very sad day...need help!

I appologize ahead of time if this is in the wrong forum, I'm just looking for a bit of help(Sorry for the novel as well). If I leave out any info please let me know. This is my first car and love and its a very sad week for me. Idk what to do with the car or if I can get a little bit of the money spent on it back out of it. I'm not trying to sell it here I just need help figuring out what i can do with it and some numbers.

I bought a '02 black focus SVT with 105k miles about two years ago. I put another 5,000 miles. About 4 months ago the engine blew a piston through the block and totaled the engine. So I bought a brand new '02 2.0L svt zetec engine, had 0 miles on it. I put 3,000 miles on this motor, it just was broken in and purring amazingly. Everything else is stock, Eagle GT Goodyear tires. Last week I got into a merge fight with a semi, yes I know not the smartest I'm still beating myself for it , pushed me into cones and was turned sideways, I almost leveled it out when I hit grass and rolled it. Now I didn't hit anyone else all the damage is from the ground. It was a slow roll but enough to total it. There was no damage to the front of the car and the car still runs. In fact, the engine cranked right over, idled great and I could drive it still. No leaking or backfires even when rev'ed. The engine cost me 6k i know i wont get that back even with only 3,000 miles on it, but what do you think I can get out of it and whatever else I can sell off it. Thanks ahead of time guys = )

first off, good to see you're okay:) secondly, i assuming u bought it from salvage. if so take what money is left and buy a zx3. i only assume that it is all bolt on, since i am a 2nd gen guy. but if that isn't you're cup of tea, then search the bst threads. also if you haven't already posted on the "other" forum its focaljet.com, just in case you have a restricted timetable and need answers quicker:) but regardless sorry to hear about your loss and good luck!

Man...I wish you hadn't done that!! I hope all occupants came out ok, looks like a traumatic event. Is that the aforementioned semi in pic. #1, top right? You may be able to get $3k, total, given the low miles on the motor. How's the interior? suspension? wheels?

SVT complete header swap $400

Total price for those parts would be $4,420, and then take the rest to the scrap yard for an additional $$$

Forgot a few things

Hood - some people might need one $50

All of that would sell quick, people around here are vultures when they hear the word SVT

Sorry to hear that and glad you are ok. But seriously, don't ever "fight" a semi.

Tough deal, glad you are okay. Buy it back from insurance and part it out. It will take a while to convert all that scrap to $ but otherwise you'll take one heck of a hit because the insurance will prob only pay $5500 or so without factoring in a deductable.

Everyone walked away, the most was 2 broken ribs for me, few cuts and bruises but nothing serious. I got it from the wrecker for 250, unfortunately I wasn't paying full coverage for me because that was 200 bucks a month so i just had liability and uninsured...the interior is great, other than the glass obviously which can be vacuumed out. The passenger side seat blew its airbag, but nothing else. All the damage was to the roof and sides of the car, it did its job well and protected everything in it!
