Shelby mod?

Just playing around a bit... obviously by my plate you can see I traded a GT500 in for my Focus. Found some leftover Shelby letters from the GT500 and figured I'd have some fun... thoughts?

Unless you had a tuned ST or something with a bit more power to back up the letters it feels a bit ricey to me, but if you like it then go ahead.

Since the name would be writing checks that a stock Focus can't cash in terms of straight line performance.

Thumbs up

I say yes, others may chime in to remind you that you did not purchase a Shelby Focus but I say it looks good.

I thought about that too, because I hate badges on cars that don't belong, but it's not like there's really a Shelby Focus I'm trying to pass the car off as. It's not like putting Cobra badges on a stock mustang or Lightning badges on an f150 or even ST badges on a new focus.

Besides, my car already looks like a Race Red Titainium, which doesn't exist, might as well add some more confusion, lol.

I say keep it. Then get a V8 and cram it...in the back. Because we all know a V8 won't fit under the hood!

But in all seriousness, if I saw this on the road I'd be tempted to provoke you into using what I would assume is a big ass supercharger.

On the older gen cars, V8s do fit under the hood, you'd be surprised ;)

If I had the extra funds, I'd definitely turbo the car. But I'd be worried about the strength of the DCT.

Ah, yeah. Didn't think about the DCT. They're only rated to 180 HP, right? Or was it TQ? Either way, you'd need a manual and a more sturdy unibody for a 'charged V8.
