It really depends on how thick your vinyl is. This blue stuff I used was really thin compared to the more famous Di-Noc. So I didn't really need to heat it up to form it. However, I still did in order to get the best possible result. The only piece that really needed to be heated was the air condition vent trim.

If you use Di-Noc then you have to get a heat gun because it's quite thick.

I've never been a fan of faux carbon fiber, but that really looks sharp in blue! Damnit - now you have me wanting to paint my trim pieces in either a gloss or satin black. So much for keeping this car stock. LOL

If you didn't use actual Di Noc, what did you use? And how much did you buy? Like what size?

I used this stuff. http://www.ebay.com/itm/250898246540...84.m1497.l2649

It's been alright so far. I used 1.5 m^2. Well i actually used less, since I have some left over and I did redo some pieces.

I started my project with some stuff bought from ebay. I dont know if it was the same as the post above this, but it didnt stay attached very long...3 days. Di-noc is made for the exterior and is thick. Google Scotchprint 1080 and then buy from these guys... www.metrorestyling.com Good luck!
