According to several articles I've read, starting Spring 2013 (march is hinted), we will be able to buy a 2.0L Chevy cruze diesel there's prototypes out and about according to various things I've read. It will be initially offered with only an automatic version and claiming minimum 50 mpg. Some reviews of European versions and things off this and other articles suggest that prototypes in the us are getting between 50-60 mpg.

More articles are easily found online through a google search...should be i testing to see how this goes.. I've been wanting to buy a vw diesel but if this car turns into a big hit, I'd rather buy this to support local jobs.. Yes vw has their pant in tn, but the money goes overseas.... Rather buy American if they offer diesel again.. What are people's take on this?
Gm will now be the only of the big 3 to offer a diesel variant in their passenger car lines... They are trying to cut away at the Prius and vw Jett's tdi market share..
