SVT headlights on my 2001 ZX3
Ok so I was thinking about getting the 2002 SVT (non HID) black background headlights for my 2001 ZX3. I'm not feeling the factory chrome 2001 headlights.
My question is before I go out and buy them, are they a direct plug in to the factory 2001 headlight harness? Thanks in advance guys. |

If they are non-HID then they will bolt right in no problem.

You could also just open the housings on your stockers and paint them black. Then they'll look like the svt ones without the cost.

Yeah but that is a lot more work than just unbolting and bolting back into place.

If you have an oven or a heat gun then 30 minutes to open. 30 minutes to paint. An hour to clean off old sealant and put on new and close them up. So 2 hours. 3 if you want to procrastinate. Better than spending $100+ on new ones.

You say it like it's that easy, which in a way it is, but also in a way it isn't. Ether way there are two options to getting the black housing headlights. Buy some or make em your own. Ether way its going to look good on the car lol

Yeah my head lights have 140k miles on them so they have seen better days . That's why I wanted to go new. I was kicking around painting them but for only $100 I think I rather just change them out with fresh unpitted lenses.
