Can't you just order the 2012 LED lights and swap them for the 2013 incandescents?

No & yes. Unfortunately the housing is different from 2012 to 2013. '13 has more buttons and those are illuminated. The 2012 has one less button and those are un-illuminated.

If there were no differences then yes, absolutely. But as it stands there are so for me that's a no-go.

This is partially correct. The '12 buttons were illuminated, and had less because it didn't have the button to turn the "door open" lights off. The Job#2 2012 had this button added, so should be the same button and housing as the 2013. Not sure about the electrical connector though.

Interesting and worth looking into. Truly, the vehicle that I used for comparison was the earliest build date on this forum. March 2011 I think. The connector's are the same for sure.

One should make a list (sticky) of the disappearing feature act just for a historical reference.

1.Rain sensing wipers.
2.Auto dimming rearview mirror
3.LED interior roof lighting
4.Home link / garage opening ?

My wife's 13 Ti has led interior dome lights.

Have you touched them after they have been on for a minute or so? If there is any warmth at all they are not LED's.

It lists them as conventional bulbs in the 2013 Owner's Manual and I saw them myself in a '13. The actual housing is the same as the 12's.

I'm quite aware of the differences between led's and incandescent bulbs. The lights in my wife's Ti are identical to the ones I had in my pre-production SEL last year.

OK, then you must be one of the lucky ones with a '13 and LED's, because they have been removed.

I'm in a different dealer everyday and the last few that I've been to, had Ti's in their showroom. I've looked at 6 different Ti's and all had interior led's. I'm going to try and confirm with Sel's and see if they have them as well.

SEL is gone for 2013. It has been replaced by the SE with the Appearance Package.

Maybe check SE base and SE with the Appearance Package.
