23D build/turbo

After i get out of boot camp/mct/mos school i will have a bunch of money saved up...20k+

I want to get a Duratec 2.3 and build it and throw some boost on it.

Could someone be kind enough to list all the parts i would need to build a decent motor to handle a good amount of boost?

And would it be a better idea to build a 23D and put it in my 07 or just sell the 07 and buy an SVT?

It's really up to you. The way I'd do it (If you're really hell bent on getting the 2.3) is to sell your current 07, and find either an ST or a SVT then build up the internals and turbo it from there. Depending on how much boost you're gonna run, forged rods and pistons are probably a good idea, but I think that's for applications over 8lbs. It still couldn't hurt though. The best way to turbo is probably just to get FSwerks' turbo kit. All inclusive for under 5k. Not a bad deal, and well documented.

Once you get a motor you can get parts to build the motor from GPS-werks https://www.gp-werks.com/ and if you were going with a kit for the turbo I would go with Top Speed Performance Parts turbo kit cause if you have a built motor you'll be able to make more power with the top speed kit over the fswerks kit.
