Is the light facing down hill? I found that if my car was facing downhill the light would pop on much more often, and then would go away on flat or uphill. (Referring to my previously posted experience)

Suck. I'd assume they're doing a pretty thorough check (brakes are pretty important) - hopefully its nothing and they've top the fluid and you're good to go!

ok well they had it for 5 in a half hours and after 2 hours of trying to just get in touch with them they tell me they havent even looked at it yet and the tech leaves in an hour. I told him before I even left that I would need this car today so now I gotta go up there and get it back without them even looking at it

If you're sure the fluid is filled to the 'full' line, then don't worry about it. This just means there's something up with the level sensor, which won't have any affect on braking performance. It's suspect to me that it only does it when you accelerate, which suggests that the fluid is moving away from the sensor during acceleration, possibly leaving it dry for a few seconds. This is an indicator of low fluid, not a bad sensor. If the fluid is indeed low, go pick up some DOT3 fluid and top it off. It doesn't sound terribly low, but....worst-case scenerio is that you could get air into the lines. Not likely, but possible. If that happens, then braking could be compromised.

My light came on too.

I found the fluid cap was loose, and paint eaten off.

ok back from the beach and i kept calling them last Friday when they had my car and they close at 6 and at 5 i finally got a hold of them and of course they tell me they hadn't even looked at it yet so i tell him i wont his people to forget about it and dropped it off at my work so i don't have to come get it and that i would personally take it to the service manager when i returned. The guy then said well wait ill see what i can do, cuz when i dropped it off i told him i needed it back today and he said of course no problem but like always they failed. So right before they closed they said they topped it off and that the detected no leaks but to bring it back because it might be the reservoir and they need to do a bleed test. I told him Id have them do it when i come in for my part. By the way i was told 2 weeks ago today that my part had finally been shipped and that it would be in, in 3 days. well its been two weeks and im now going on 4 months of waiting. so pathetic.

Hey chum567,

I'm happy to step in here and help. Send me a PM with your VIN, dealer, mileage, and daytime phone number; I'll get your regional Customer Service Manager involved. They'll reach out to your dealership and ensure your concerns are resolved pronto.

Crystal
