Ha, for $100 you could just send it off to get it reset

When I got mine reset it was $90 total (shipping and what not)

I would tell that dealer to go scratch

i can and did read... but the way it was presented i was wondering if the repair itself was $1100 so i was hoping he didn't have to come out of pocket at all.

if you did have to fork out the $1100 sorry man that stinks. i dont know what changes were made in the ATX for mk2 but if it makes you feel any better i was quoted $1500 for a rebuild w/shift kit before i swaped in the lentec.
