Hassle. In that case I might just be happy I got the header on a good sale but I'll keep in in the box until I find a place that can tune and install it for me in a couple of weeks when i re-earn that money I just spent.

Hassle is a good way to put it lol my header was a pain in the a$$, I bought it used from a member on here and he neglected to tell me that the flex pipe was leaking. So after a couple weeks of crappy A/F ratios, bought a new flex pipe and that fixed it.

But you're buying it brand new so you won't have to worry about it. It's a hassle now but once you have it installed and tuned right, you're gonna love it. It's definitely worth the money and the patience

Yeah I bet, I'm just a little lost to what I should do next cause I just moved to SC and I'm new in the area not really familiar with any shops that can tune and if they do a good job at it. And also shops that can help me install it.

I'm originally from south Florida and there is endless of places there and I know everything there so it's kinda like where and what do I do here now that I got it. And tbh I'm not the guy that knows much about engine modding :/

Hopefully something works out though

well FSwerks or Focus Power should be able to tune your car remotely, both are reputable around here.

I have three suggestions:

The first one is that you could check out the regional forums and ask around about shops and tuners in your area. Guarantee that there's at least one person who will know of someone.

The second one is that I know Turbo Tom and a bunch of other shops are located in NC. Might want to check out their shop locations and driving distances from where you're at. Might be a little far but again, you're dealing with someone who knows the Focus inside and out

The third suggestion is that you could have someone remote tune your car after it's installed. There are a ton of us who go that route. I'm located in Jersey and Turbo Tom remote tunes my car for me. I've also heard great things about Randy over at Fswerks. I think cost wsie, all three options are about even

Just depends on what you'd like to do

Well, of the shops around us locally, I don't recommend Top Dead Center. While they tuned my car, they treated a few of my friends poorly, so I can't recommend going to them.

I'd touch base with FSwerks again, and see what there recommendation is for getting a tune with the car. They may be able to sell you a SCT with a tune loaded on it that will be good to go, no remote tuning needed. As they list on the website, they recommend custom tunes for: "If you need programming for turbo kits, supercharger kits, nitrous kits, aftermarket intake manifolds, or modified stock intake manifolds you will need to call for details and prices."

The exahaust side is not as critical for custom tuning, its on the intake side that you really get into danger of going too lean with your air fuel ratio.

I can probably give you a hand on the install of this too, its a bit more work than your suspension ;)

Yeah I think I'm gonna go with Randy since I'll be getting the header from them and try to see what they can give me, but buy piece by piece. Right now I just knocked down the header with this good discount and I'll just get the remote tune in the future which should be my best bet too. And yeah I know a buddy that helped me instal my suspension that I met through FF in my area. Great guy, matter of fact he's wrc_fan (replying below)

Yeah I'm thinking I'd be best if I go straight with FSwerks and pay that extra cost but should be best on the long run. And thanks that would be really helpful if we get a day to work on it as well, but idk if I should wait till I get the tune and all of that sorted out before we try to install it. I spoke to the guy from FSwerks and he already processed my order so I'll be getting the header next week but not sure I wana run the hassle of having it on until it's properly tuned.

P.S. sorry about that PM I sent you I had to take fast action cus it was a one day sale and it was a great deal I've been waiting for.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you need the flex with the header. I think the stock flex is too long??
