My Etis has never showed me anything other than recalls. If you have a good dealership and politely explain how your car was built after...but...and explain what it's doing they'll take care of you without even reproducing the problem. It's worth a shot, right?

Same goes for me; I had nothing showing in ETIS, but had the TSB performed anyway. Night and day difference.

I'll give it a shot. Off next week anyways.

Does higher octane really improve it that much? I have exclusively used 87, our lowest local grade, from day one and haven't reported any notable problems that would warrant examination.

I agree, I have been using 87 from the start and I have not noticed any issues. Maybe on next fill up I will try 91 or higher to see if there is a performance improvement, but I doubt it.

There's a whole thread on octane...variable valve timing...what the owner's manual says about different grades. I only run E0 91. That's all for this ---> thread <--- though.

A TSB will normally not show up in ETIS because a TSB applies only to vehicles that actually exhibit the problems or symptoms that are outlined in the TSB.

The active grill shutter one shows up(12B41), they sent me a letter. Was it an actual recall? Like I said, I'll talk to my service department next week.

I concur. Bring it into the dealership and anticipate them performing 12-5-5. I don't believe this it's a 100% fix but I think you'll see an improvement.

I'm semi-concerned that you experience this even after the car is warmed up. I sort of doubt it's anything but it if this worsens you may have something else going on. Mine only does it with a cold drivetrain, and it's definitely worse in cold ambient temps.
