2012 Auto-x video and picture thread

The rain forecast means I'm just going to bring my car instead of the kart this weekend. Oh well. I've got an open diff right now, so I will run FSP on A6 if it is dry, and STF on DW (on my new wheels!) if it is wet.

I've taken advantage of the STF index as well a couple of times on those wet days.

A few pics from my first event in my STF Focus




It was damp to a steady rain for most of the event but still had a blast. Finished 2nd in PAX (out of 47). Stock shocks/springs, big Steeda Rear bar, 17x7.5 wheels with 215/40/17 Star Specs. Car needs springs, shocks and camber REALLY bad.

I goofed up my video camera and didn't get ANY incar footage.

Have you thought about running RS3's? I think those would fare better in STF.

Nice. I ran the Focus in STF in the rain on my daily-driver Conti DW's, and got 3rd/44 PAX on Sep 2nd at a CCSCC event

Probably would be better but I wanted a tire that was not great at anything but good at everything.

If I decide to get a bit more serious next year, i'll get a pair of 15" wheels and the 225 Kooks for the front. The SVT could certainly use a bit more gearing.

I like the StarSpecs, but IMO they are terrible in the rain/cold weather.. it seems to me they turn into bricks when it's cold. I think 15's would be ideal for the SVT, good choice.
