Obx header on 2nd gen
has anyone tried this header out yet?
looked ok for the prices but wasnt sure how great of a deal it would be in the long run... any input would be great my mods are 2.5 inch trubenz with a 30 inch magnaflow muffler so it is quiet for daily driving but i want more sound and power and a fswerks intake http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-RACE-HEA...bd44b8&vxp=mtr

While I have not run one of these on my focus, this is what I run on my saleen truck. For the price, you cant beat them. The fit and finish was great.

A lot of people go with the OBX header because of the price, and the gains on it are actually very good as well. They replicated the Cossie headers, with very good welds and craftsmanship. i've seen em first hand and I was very surprised. The only thing I would suggest is getting better gaskets, (like 12 bucks or so from fswerks or a performance shop) because the gaskets that come with 'em aren't the best besides the the header it self is the best bang for its buck, and you also get both flex pipes atx and mtx, so you can sell the on you dont need for a couple bucks to pay the shipping lol. But you can't go wrong with those headers.
and remember you still have to coat the headers or wrap them. And a tune will defiantly be a must sooner or later.

Look at this link, usually when the post up stickies like this they don't put up crappy stuff on there, hence why the obx header is up there.

I have the OBX header, i like it, i used it on my 2.0l then my 2.3l when I replaced the motor and it will require a tune, you will loose your CAT and I did get both AT and MTX flex pipes., I wrapped it with fiberglass.
I have the FSwerks CAI and FSWerks Stealth exhaust, its loud only when I get on the gas

I have this as a replacement for my cracked stock header but you NEED a tune. The header has no porys for the pzev and you lose the cat.

Whenever you replace or mod a part that has to do with the amount of air flow being changed you need a tune.
Unless its something small like a CAI, but even then would best to tune it, this will need it more then most other Mods. When I bought a 2.3L motor I had a OEM header that was cracked when I looked up to see what the cost of a new one was I about Shat myself was More then HALF the price for a OBX header.. but I promise you that cops will turn heads more, my 2 speeding tickets over last weekend will attest to that. One ticket was for a cop who said she PACED me at 90... However I never went over 70, she was under the bridge at the on ramp I got on, she heard me gas up fast and that turned her head my way, if this was my other OEM car, I would never had gotten her attention.
