given that the car is automatic can I pull it?

I know old cars would burn up the transmission when pulled and not lifted. the car will be rolling on its 4 wheels.

I don't want to add more damage to what I already have. unless that the problem of course but I don't know that yet

Don't pull it if it's an auto. You'll burn up the transmission. On auto's there is a pump that lubricates everything, if the engine is not running then the pump is not pumping. Go to U haul and rent a car dolly it's only like 40 bucks the last time I checked.
