Magnaflow and Vibrant are the way to go for some really nice looking and well built stainless steel pieces IMO

Magnaflow fan here, too. I've seen far too many Flowmaster rust out or fall apart internally. They sound good on big V8's, but offer little to now power upgrade. Flowmaster really needs to start constructing all of their pieces out of stainless. I don't see the point otherwise.

On my trip to Nebraska and back (2000miles) I am happy to say that the MPG's were above what I expected. I was hoping for ~35 mpg ave for the whole trip and returned 37.4. I set the cruise at 4 over for the most part which put us at cruising speeds of 74-79mph. My best tank of fuel yielded 41.2 through Kansas in the mid afternoon running 91 octane at speeds of 70+. We hit a nasty head wind as a low pressure front descended on us and dropped our MGP to mid 30's. I run atleast 89 octane because I feel it makes a difference in smoothness of operation for the moving bits. On a side note a fully built Yamaha Banshee 350 2 stroke is impending death if you dont respect it 110%.

If your conversed about drone don't get a flowmaster get the magnaflow or borla it's more expensive but worth it I've talked to borla techs that made the exhaust and they said it actually lost hp with the 2.5" system and sound quality was better with the 2.25 system. So if they said that that's good enough for me
Edit : just now my phone loses the later post hope you enjoy your FSWerks exhaust looks to be a solid peice :) hopefully the 2.5" still provides decent gains :)

The Flowmaster doesn't sound good on Foci imo. Kind of ricey. I had a 2.25" Magnaflow catback on my Focus and loved it. Although it could have been a touch louder.

Edit-Just saw you got an FSWERKS. Good choice.

That's interesting that they say there was a loss.

I'd really like to see a comparison now!

Me too let me talk to them again and see if I can get any dynos or flow tests; but it makes sense because its smaller it doesn't have anywhere to go and keeps it more compact and hotter thus getting pushed out faster.
Edit: keep in mind borla and magnaflow test with stock headers so it may change if you add a header but one I add my Cosworth if
I chose to do so I'll dyno an see f I can crank out any more with a 2.25 exhaust.
I'm just veering away from custom and went with someone I knew fit. My 05 TruBendz was horible fitment problems till I fixed it. And it was a nightmare fixing them to the point after it was fixed I didn't want it anymore.

I have the 140400 Borla for the nonPZEV Hatch. I think it is somewhat loud, however not as loud in video compared to the FSWERKS and Magnaflow. It does not drone at HW speed, but around town it can get slightly (farty) because the damn DCT shifts to early and often. So in low a gear it can be loud, but my ears are really good. Also have full spare which could allow some resonance under the trunk area.
