Cry for Help

Well, a month or so ago I was looking at getting a very clean zx5 hatch, but just before i went to buy it someone picked her up:/ The good part of the story though is a family friend of ours was selling their '99 cougar for only 1000 bucks, which i just picked up and plated yesterday, my question though is what are some good websites to order parts (internal/external) from? i was lookin to to get a carbon fiber hood as well for the cougar but i cant find one that doesnt seem sketchy(ebay) i did look at extreme dimensions and they had a really nice carbon fiber hatch which i may pick up but id like a hood as well to match. I figured id come to you guys/gals with my question because this is one of the best communities ive been a part of, thanks!

i honestly am not too sure why theyre so cheap in general, i got mine for only 1000 bucks, no rust whatsoever, a few dings here and there but i mean, its from '99, it needs some work done under the hood but other then that the interior is almost perfect, im definitely not gonna complain about a thousand dollar car!

My ex has a 2001 Cougar. Pain in the ass. When something goes wrong on those cars, about 15 things go wrong at once. She never really had any major issues that I can remember, but there was always something small and annoying that needed to be fixed. And the car was taken care of.

Other than that, they're cool little cars. I hated the placement of the rear view mirror, though. And the windshield isn't very tall. Definitely made for chicks lol.

Really my only complaints.

ya I googled around and the reliability seems to be the reason for the low price.

Be wary of the V6 versions as sometimes the head gaskets on that 2.5 Duratec were a PITA to work on.
