Remote Start fob?

Hey guys, I just bought my car about 2 weeks ago and I've been wondering about something since I've gotten it. There is a remote start antenna on the windshield but I never got a remote start fob when I bought the car. (I bought it at an auction so I'm assuming they just didn't have it.) So what I'm wondering is what do I need to take advantage of the remote start feature. From what I could find out I'm pretty sure it didn't come stock and the antenna doesn't have any identification numbers on it or anything of the sort. So would I be able to buy a single button ford remote starter fob and be able to program it to the car or do I need the specific fob that came with the, supposedly aftermarket, antenna? Thanks for any and all help!

I would guess it's time for a bit of "sleuthing" to find out what got installed in the car...

AND you MIGHT need to acquire the info. for the system & a new fob B4 you can even tell if it's still functional....

If your investigation turns up info. that it's a "quality" unit that's still supported, getting it operational would make sense, otherwise I'd "trash" the system & either replace it with a good current unit or return everything to "stock" condition...

Your call, once you find out what's in there!
