Like I said in my build thread, I doubted that I would feel a difference and I really didn't. There's alot you have to do to get colder air to the stock housing (ie newmission mod) and what ever. I really don't want to cut into it just yet. I will look more into a custom heat shield and what not, but for now it's good

You can also net a little bit more power by doing the snorkel delete with a flathead screwdriver and about 10 minutes of work. The dyno data is in my dyno thread and ZX3Matt has a pretty good information in a thread he started (which you can link to in my dyno thread).

I'm thinking about that. Does it make it "lid off" loud if you don't use a block off plate?

Let me rephrase what I said...I didn't feel a difference because I've had this car for a week and have been running lid off since day one...lol Im sure the power is there, Im just not feeling it in the "butt dyno". Sorry didnt want to confuse people.

As far as the snorkel delete goes, I read that in your thread and was going to do it after work today

The block-off plate is for the resonator opening, and it is nowhere near lid-off loud if you don't use one. The car has a little bit of growl, but nothing obnoxious. I am personally not a fan of lid-off sound for anything other than wot driving (though I don't knock others' opinions of it). I think I still have my block-off that you can have if you are interested. Just hit me up with a pm if so..

Yes, I probably misunderstood that you've been running lid-off the whole time. If so, you should have a power gain and wouldn't need the snorkel delete for more air as you will already be getting plenty. Should you decide to put your lid back on (which should help you notice the power difference), then I would most definitely recommend doing it.
