As far as removing the balance shafts= you'd have to do that your self after the motor is installed. Get the motor issue figured out 1st, then after a month of no issues I'd remove the shafts. Looks like Vegas got his motor from LKQ= like kind quality. Have called the place where you got your motor?

I'm almost wondering if dipsticks aren't made right? If I put in 4.5 quarts, I'm on the bottom of the dipstick. I have to go 5 quarts.

LKQ sells to many shops so it may have been. get the labor warranty when available. they will take greater care installing it since they do not wanna do it again.

I called the place I bought it from and they put in a warrenty claim and will email the shop that put it in .So now I wait to see whats going on..

jasper remans are the only motors and trans that we use at the shop i work at. haven't had a single one come back or a problem with any of them.

he may have a 90 day warranty BUT most of the time it wont include labor unless he bought it in addition..

for the record I have not heard good things about automotix.

also as a shop I don't recommend it when people try to find an engine on their own and as such will offer no warranty if it goes bad. and it has happened before too.
