NO POWER and very loud

Well recently ive noticed the noise of my intake progressive getting louder. today heading home from school it got very very loud and now has no power and wont accelerate above 4krpm??? and its so sluggish

Sounds exactly like my car did when my stock cat broke into pieces and clogged the pipe up. Drive around and then pop the hood. Check the cat out, if it's clogged it would probably be glowing red hot. Or it could be a fuel issue? I'm leaning more towards a fuel issue though. I haven't known any of the newer focus's to blow there cats up like the first gen's did.

its a pzev, so it had the lifetime airfilter, removed and replaced it with a cheap cone filter, the noise is like if u take your filter out and floor it everywhere but 10x that loud. i dont think its a fuel issue, the pump was replaced last summer under warranty and the filter i change every 10k, i was leaning towards cat as well but i have all the shields around mine so its difficult to see. it sounds like im floored but being held back or like im slightly holding the brakes. it also has 107k on it with factory timing chain, another thought i had was maybe there is a crack in the i/m or something, im thinking about just scraping it or just parking it for now. it needs to much work right now.. body work, struts, shocks, clutch, cant lock it driver side door handle doenst work the list goes on...

Hhmm so it that pretty much rules out the fuel pump. How much exhaust is coming out of the tail pipe?

I would say it is the cat too. After driving it you should be able to feel if it is very hot or not. If it is very hot and some what red in color it is a clogged cat.

Have you added oil recently and left the cap off perhaps?

Another possible cause would be if the air intake was disconnected.

I'm just trying to find other things it could be other than an exhaust or catalytic converter problem. One thing you can do to see if it's the cat is to drive a short distance, then look under the car at night- if the cat is glowing red- that is very likely to be your problem. By a short distance, I mean down to the end of the block and back. After driving for a good amount of time, a normal cat will glow deep red. A bad cat will brightly glow red after a short distance.

ok so i drove it maybe 1.5 miles to a friends house popped the hood and sure as hell it is glowing red.. something ive noticed also is it is fine after it sits for a few hours, but as soon as i go probably 25yards the noise starts and gets louder and louder. it also seems like if im just driving and not stopping it progressively gets even worse but if i stop at a stop light for a few minutes it isnt as bad until the cat starts to get hotter?? im so lost on this.. i found a used replacement out of a wrecked car on ebay for 200, which is WAYY better then ford. my local dealership quoted me 1566.15!!!!, tomorrow morning im thinking about pulling it and cutting the cat in half gutting it and burning it back together, then reinstalling my second cat and burn in a bung after it and get an 02 extension to move the secondary o2 to get me by, smog is no issue money is though.., and in all honesty i cant even here my exhaust i have my second cat removed withe a magna flow muffler and at idle u could hear it, very little exhaust is exiting tail pipe but im not to sure on how much was before, it is super hot tho, hotter then before for sure cant even put your hand in front of it for more then a second or 2 probably 6 inches away from the tip

last person to touch oil cap was ford i have the lifetime oil changes and im due for another right now every 4-5weeks:/, air filter is not disconnected this afternoon pulled everything cleaned maf, pulled throttle body cleaned that as well and checked the rubber gasket all is fine...

another thing i did while at my buddies house was pulled the primary o2 and easily drove it down the street and back sounded like hell, but didnt seem hesitant like before

It sounds like you've figured out that the cat is the problem. It seems kinda early for a cat to go to me, but it's not impossible.

it does seem kind of early.. but its going to get diagnosed by ford on monday and i guess california has a emission warranty of 150,000 or 15 yr so hopefully it will fall in that.., while the o2 was out i noticed it was white which leads me to believe its running really lean...
