Armor All used to use dimethyl silicone which causes dry rot over time. Now they've switched to water based emulsions but that old formula still haunts their perception in enthusiasts minds.

Truth is armor all won't hurt anything really. Its essentially the same as any other protectant. Thing is 303 Aerospace Protectant has more UV inhibitors than Armor All so it protects better. This is also why 303 is more expensive, but oh so worth it.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I've looked and couldn't find silicone mentioned either way on anything really so I kinda wondered.

Is the 303 something I can get locally at an auto parts store or something like that or do I need to order it online?

I ordered 303 online but I've heard you can usually find it in sporting goods stores...places that sell boats...

I use a damp rag with Maguires interior, then rub it down again with a clean damp rag. I don't like the shiney grease those leave behind.
