Weathertech vs OEM vs other floor mats

Question for those of you that have either husky or weather techs; do they cover the area underneath the gas pedal? that is my main concern as I have a great set of michelin mats but the drivers side doesn't cover the area under the gas pedal and in the winter time I will be tracking salt in my car....

I went out and took a picture of my Husky liners.


They cover under the gas pedal, I believe the WeatherTech's come up the side more covering the area better. The WeatherTechs only cover the lower half of the dead pedal area from the photos I've seen of them.

If you search by vehicle on the Husky website, you will see you only have one choice of model for the 2012 5 door, in either black or grey. Below is a screen capture of the front and rear set in black, with the model #. These are exactly the ones pictured above. Enjoy them--I love mine! I bought them for a good price on Amazon--just search for part #98771.

I got the Husky's last fall (front and rear). They are great. You'll be really happy with them.

I've been through one winter (albeit kind of a wimpy winter) with the Husky's and they do a great job. No mess up by the gas pedal, great dead pedal coverage, and really deep to make sure none of the salty slush melts and gets over the edge and down onto your carpet.

You might have better results if you create a new pedal cover topic, or post in an existing one.

I bought the Lloyd mats 2 weeks after I bought my focus hatch....the driver mat is way too small. The passenger and trunk mats are good enough. I want the husky liners now... even though I don't get any snow here.

Which brand? My long-term perception is that the Husky liners are well worth the purchase.

Either or. Just wanted to know if the investment that people made into either brand was worth it after "x" amount of months. I am looking seriously at both brands.
