agreed. it wouldnt be all that hard to adapt this kit to a SPI. poke around for a turbo manifold and/or get one custom made, tap the oil pan and swap the fittings from the zetec pan to the SPI one. i dont even think he would have to modify any of the piping going to the intake or anything. isnt the throttle body located in the exact same place on a SPI? i seem to remember using the intake tube from a SPI to replace the one i split open on my zetec shortly after i bought it. might be wrong but im pretty sure and even if im wrong the modification needed to get it there would be negligible at best.

How would I go about it with a auto and stock internals? I would like to run low boost like 4-5lbs. Would I need to upgrade the engine internals and tranny ? I'm only got 31k miles

you would not need to upgrade internals, even at 6-8 psi. just a good tune, and stickier tires if you don't like spinning tires.

you have a 2000 with only 31k miles? holy cow man! if you are running boost then an automatic is the only way to go to really get moving. with an auto you never let out of the throttle to change gears so you never loose boost and have to build it back up at every gear change. and you can upgrade an auto to take over 300whp for about the same price as it costs to upgrade the manual tranny. clutches can be expensive. for those manual guys!

internals of the engine are good for 10-12 psi and some people push to 14psi and are okay. you could safely push your car to about 8-10 though because the automatic tranny doesnt like more than about 190-200 bone stock. throw a lentech valve body and torque converter in it with a decent LSD and you are good to go to 250whp on the stock motor. build the motor and the really really nice lentech complete transmission for 3 grand and you can push it to 650whp if you want and it has trans brake!! ok ive babbled enough lol
