Yeah , if your sitting in the car. But when you approach the car, you just need to stick your hand into the handle on the outside of the car and it unlocks all 4 doors.

I just tested it by going out and touching the handle as normal when I get in, and then tossing my key into the grass and trying the passenger door. It was still locked. I would really like to find out why this is not working.

First of all you need to set it up for one click auto unlock by holding down the lock and unlock buttons for a period of time until the car flashes a confirmation. Then try it again to verify that one touch of the handle also does the same.

But if you tossed the key in the grass that's why the door didn't open when you approached the passenger side with the normal two click set up. The first only unlocks the driver side door, but if you grabbed the rear handle it unlocks them all.

You need to program it to unlock all four. it's in the manual.

this was discussed long ago and the wireless keypad does NOT work with the Ti with pushbutton start. Ford said so and dealers should know to tell you so when you try to order. It would have been quite handy to add a keypad to an obscure spot (inside the fuel door was discussed) as a sort of wireless "hide a key".

you can't lock your keyfob in the Ti regardless. it won't lock the door if it senses the fob inside the car, if it's in the trunk it will pop the trunk after you close it (try it, it's kind of neat).

you can either program the door touch to open all doors when you grab the driver's door, or grab any other door instead of the driver's door and it will unlock all 4. if you're walking up to the car from the rear, just grab the back drive's side door instead.

This is true.

The only PBS cars with the keypad are the ones that have the keypad integrated into the window trim, those capacitive red ones like on the Taurus.

Whether the Focus receives something like that down the line is up to Ford
