One does not equal all in the same way that most studies and polls are flawed wastes of time

I'm sorry you've had trouble, but don't think you speak for the majority.

Replace Focus with any new model for the 2012 MY, if you find something WITHOUT issues I will be shocked.

I had a decent amount of annoyances with my Ti but it never stopped me from recommending and now a cousin and a friend both have them.

At this point, not having a Focus in your top 3 much less not buying one is pretty silly; they're that good

I miss the snow! Traction control is a standard safety feature which is included with AdvanceTrac. It uses engine control to reduce engine power (torque) to the drive wheels to maximize traction on slippery or loose driving surfaces at any speed. AdvanceTrac is doing your vehicle a huge service!

If you'd like to switch it off (if equipped on your model), please check out page 273 of the Owner Guide (5th Printing): https://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conte...OwnerGuidePage.

Driving without shoes on confirms your rebel status, MyThIc3LiTe!

I found some good deals at non-ford dealerships, but I am concerned that if I was to buy one would Ford dealers help me with servicing, updates, etc...

Also, before purchasing, would Ford dealerships allow me to bring the car in so they could take a look at it and make sure nothing is wrong?

As long as the first dealer is willing to allow you to take the car someplace else for an inspection I don't see why the Ford dealer wouldn't inspect the car for a nominal fee.

Don't mention it; this is what we're here for! If you purchase a Focus at a non-Ford dealer, you can take it to our dealers to have it serviced. No matter what you decide, these coupons will help keep your soon-to-be ride a well-oiled machine: http://www.ford.ca/app/fo/en/parts_a...ices/offers.do. However, I recommend talking to your selling dealership for more information.

Thanks for jumping in on this one, suss6052, kam327, and WhiteTite!

It's a great safety feature that we wanted to include on the Focus; it definitely increases the enjoyment factor!

Would I buy this car again?

With this trim package and body style? YES!

The only thing I would recommend to Ford is, PADDLE SHIFTERS!...

Thanks for dropping your two cents on the Focus, Dak_Mojave! Including paddle shifters on this model is a great idea; please visit our Ford Social site to submit it: http://social.ford.com/. You can also go into more depth on the cupholder location.

You don't need the glass partition if your passenger looks like Rose McGowan, symbology!

I have had my 12 SEL for about 6 months and would not hesitate to buy another one.

If I had a chance to make the decision again I would probably not buy one. The transmission issues have been too much. Right now car is at dealer due to shuddering and rough shifting. I was told a seal in the transmission is leaking fluid and causing other parts to fail.

MFT has had issues, but nothing serious.
