Hmm, the climate area is one of the biggest differences between our version of MFT and the full implementation. Maybe that's where the differences in the code are.

Same here.

Only differences I have noticed are that voice seems faster and temp is back (and climate is bored, although the seperate climate thing works fine)

Have you noticed any other

Edit: I have traffic on sirius now, which is odd, since I only pay for radio

The transitions seem faster. To clarify... the climate controls on screen respond but do not display current settings... buttons work ... but fake led don't turn on.

If they are truly diverging the versions, it may be good news. Less code could, in theory, mean a faster more responsive system.

I still have poi voice searching bugs.

1. Some searches result in "did I Hear you right?" results showing up behind keyboard
2. Sometimes the results screen shows up blank with "please choose blah blah blah"

That is interesting, so I was on the right path to say that the update would likely work despite them saying otherwise. Maybe they will tweak it further for the Focus and Escape, but that seems less likely than them still wanting more time to test it if they already coded this version for updating v3.0.2 of MFT for the Focus.

Ford should know that if the update is available, someone will try it (regardless of their assertion that it's not applicable).

the TSB says this update is for the Taurus/Explorer/Edge/MKT/MKS/MKX only. Those models all use a different climate control system than the Focus/Escape

"NOTE: The 2012 Focus and 2013 Escape are not a part of this TSB notification. The new software is still undergoing testing and available updates will be subject of a future announcement."

this s/w version is apparently expecting a climate control module that the Focus does not have

the update for the Focus and Escape is probably timed to the release of the C-Max which uses the same climate control system and will have the "SmartGauge" system like the Focus Electric
