I've tried the silverstars on two separate vehicles, neither sets lasted more than about 6 months........I would say there was also maybe a 10% improvement in nighttime visibility, not worth it at all IMO.

If you're car has DRLs Silverstars are definelty going to blow early since the electrical surge when the car is turned seems to reduce their life greatly. I had a couple set on my 4Runner and both sets lasted over 2 years. Ultrastars seem to have longer life but I still wouldn't use them with DLRs and I always make sure my headlamps are off when I start my vehicles. The light output is better than OEM bulbs but I'd do some research before you spend alot of money on any pricey bulbs.
I want to replace the ones on the Focus but I'm in no hurry.

Just dont hit any pot holes to hard. Theyre awesome but dont take shock very well. Had PIAAs before the Hellas in my truck. First time in the dirt, both my headlights blew out. Off road with only parking light at night. Not fun.

Ultrastars handle shock just fine as my 4Runner saw off road with them quite a bit and never had one blow til it just failed after 27 months.

Well I went with the Hellas. At first I could not figure out how to get the bulb out so I took one of the headlamps out and figured it out pretty quick. I got the headlight back in, but it is not in properly as I see a big gap at the bottom vs the other side I did not remove. Is there some type of secret on getting the headlight back in. I see on the fende well there is retaining clip that part of the headlight is supposed to pop back into, but I cant seem to get it work correctly. Any help here or suggestions?

Thanks.

Get Hella's & your golden. I've had my for over a yr w/ no issues. Forget silver stars. 2 sets & I'm done.

I have the ZXEs in my focus and love them. I put some in my wife's van as well. No problems. And a really white light. Better vision at night.

I have a bone stock focus. I am looking to upgrade my lights. I looked at the sticky on head light compatibility. I did not see the Hella's on there. Here is what I found on JC W.
BULB H4 12V 100/80W HELLA BLUE
or
BULB HB2 9003 12V 60/55W HELLA BLUE

I drive at night a lot. I am not looking to install HID's. I need something bright.
