What I do is
Valve cover :1/2 inch hose run down the back of the engine to about 2 inches below the trans

PCV : I cut the bottom of the PCV and remove the ball and spring , replace the PCV , hook a 3/8 hose to the PCV then run the hose up over the top raid hose then down to about 2 inches below the trans , remove the hose from the intake to the PCV and plug this off

You can just as easy run these 2 hoses to a catch can , make sure the hoses still breath well and dont rought the can back to the intake manifold

You will have to install another bung in that catch can for 2 connections

1.so the top one would be the filter
2. the pcv goes to the one that goes into and down into the can
3. the valve cover hooks up to the one that has no tube on the inside
correct?
thats not the one im using i just found that pic ,but there should also be a medium inside such as steel wool ?

You need a total of 3 holes , one in the top for a breather and then 2 for the engine

you need a drain on the bottom and there doesnt have to be anything in it
