Is $985 really that much for shocks, springs, and sway bars?
I've never had a "mainstream" car, just weird stuff with a vague aftermarket, so that seems like a pretty fair price to me for a whole package. In other new, boy would I love to swap in an ST steering rack some day. I wonder what would need to happen on the electrical side of things to do that.

Cheap coilovers, and that doesn't get you sways. If you're goal was a lot of drop the FRPP kit wouldn't be the way to go anyway.

$985.00 for springs/dampers & sway bars= wow.Thats coilover pricing. For that kind of money wouldn't thr rear knuckles from the st & the rear sway bar be in the kit? Don't forget 'bout bbk's either. The st also uses 12.6'' rotors.

I don't know... I keep on seeing this and thinking SVT suspension on a standard Mk1... Will fill the void for most but if you really want it to handle, you're going to want Moar... Moar low, Moar bar, Moar something...

I'm throwing the ST stuff on my car because it's A) cheap and B) available.
Nobody else has a quality shock/strut option available yet, so it's more of a stop-gap effort on my part. Eventually, I'll go with Koni Yellows or Bilsteins, but for now, the ST-stuff will do better than my stock touring shocks & struts. I simply need something that pairs better with the Eibach springs & Steeda sway that I already have. Yeah, there's always moar low and moar stiff, but I've been there and done that. I won't do coilovers on another DD until I own a house with a garage and have a winter beater, or live in California.

I will be going your direction for sure. I sent Tousley Ford a query on prices and hope to have the money to do it all soon. |

Tire Rack now has the Eibach Sport-System Plus Kit up on their site now... $424. Might give Ford a run for its dollars!
