How can I get one extend warranty?

Hi Guys,

I refused to purchase the extend warranty from the car dealer since the price they gave is ridiculous. But now I want to get one extend warranty, I drive my car to work daily, about 10miles/day.

I would appreciate if you can help me on this, where can I get one except the Fordowner website? And the reasonable price for it?

The price they gave me is about 5 more years, $1000. But I did not ask them the details of the extend warranty plan.
Any idea that where can I purchase one now?

Well if you don't know the details of the warranty they quoted it's hard to see if it's too much. They quoted $110 less than the link above, for a premiumcare warranty.

What exactly do you expect to pay for a 5 year /100k warranty?

I am not anticipating such a deal that $400 for 100k warranty actually. The reason I did not buy is I donot know what price is reasonable, while other dealers donot reply to my quote for one extend warranty.

We charge $1,291 for our 7 yr 75,000 mile warranty, this is bumper to bumper coverage includes towing and rental.

So 5 more years = 8 yr warranty? For $1,000 pretty good IMHO.

1k is actually cheap. most places charge 1200 to 1300 around here

And another thing, it comes down to "what is your time worth argument" I had an individual bend over backwards to purchase a Shelby GT 500 from a different dealer and send it to Korea at his expense etc. He saved in grand total $450 (on a $50,000 car) spent countless hours educating himself on the Korean customs system, driving to and from the port, and 8 months (3 of which was just because he didn't know what he was doing)

So he saved himself $450 for 3 months of work.

Sometimes spending more upfront is cheaper in the long run.
